The Grampians National Park is rugged, awe inspiring sandstone escarpments offering panoramic views of surrounding plains. Famous for bushwalking, the park is also a great place for touring on an extensive network of sealed, dirt and 4WD tracks.
Whether you prefer sightseeing, picnicking, camping, walking, cycling, rock climbing or simply relaxing the Grampians has something to offer everyone. The Park has many campgrounds and picnic areas in a variety of settings. All have toilets, fireplaces and picnic tables.
WESTERN GRAMPIANS
Western Grampians self drive takes you to the following attractions:
Manja Shelter - a gently walk to an Aboriginal /Cultural site.Billimina Shelter Loop - a massive rock overhang with impressive
Aboriginal Art.
Chimney Pots - a uniques rock stack, for the energetic walker, it involves slippery track surface, roack hopping, a steep climb to the base of the Chimney Post rewards you with a view of the surrounding ranges.
BLACK RANGE STATE PARK
Black Range State Park is situated in Western Victoria 340km north-west of Melbourne.The Black Range State Park is a relatively remote park that offers opportunities to experience some unique flora, fauna and cultural history.
The State Park provides a range of recreational activities including 4 wheel driving. Sections of all tracks in and around the Black Range State Park are subject to flooding in winter.
LITTLE DESERT NATIONAL PARK
The Little Desert National Park is situated some 400kms from Melbourne between Horsham and Dimboola. Subtle changes in the vegetation and sand make the trek interesting.
A popular attraction within the park, apart from 4 wheel driving are the many self guided walks in the eastern block. Most tracks, in the Park are very sandy and only suitable for 4 wheel driving.
